Challenge:
Stars Men's Shops, a franchise in the Canadian men's retail market, has over 18 stores in locations across Ontario. The Canadian retailer carries affordably priced men's suits, outerwear and casual clothing. The challenge was to utilize social media to engage with their current and potential consumer base to create loyalty and ultimately foot traffic in the retail space.
Solution:
A revitalized Facebook page, in addition to, promotions, discounts and contests were utilized to build loyalty and entice consumers to opt-in to receiving future offers and the Stars monthly newsletters.
Stars needed to revamp their Facebook page and create a fan page. New images were commissioned and a contest tab was created to enable Stars to create an added channel for contesting. One of the main goals was to increase the Stars email list through an acquisition campaign
A comprehensive strategy utilizing mobile tags/QR codes and SMS was implemented in-store. To leverage in-store and mall traffic, mobile tags were placed in the store windows as well as at the POS level. Featuring QR codes with SMS increased activations and thus opt-ins to the Stars VIP loyalty program.
Results:
The Stars Men's Shop's campaign increased their email database by more than 800%. Email newsletters continue to increase foot traffic in the retail space while fostering consumer loyalty. Not only did Clearoute improve Stars' CRM strategy but also their mCRM strategy. Through the use of a cost-effective yet highly responsive campaign, ROI was greatly increased. Clearoute will continue to layer in strategies that promise to continue to build and increase their sCRM efforts.
